Nagchu Town (Pinyin: Nagqu, Chin.: Naqu xian, Tibetan: ནག་ཆུ།) is a small town in northern Tibet, sea level about 4507m. Total area of the town is about 0.4 square Km. Once a year there is a Nagchu Horse Race Festival held here.
Nagchu ist the capital of Nagqu district comprising the northern and northwestern part of the TAR. "Nakchu" means "Black River" in Tibetan (Black = Nak, Chu = River).
