  • Thoduvakade used to be a jungle about 90 years ago when my father migrated from Kaipattur. My Dad Late Achuthen Nair procured about 10 Acres of land from Late Parashurama Aiyer at a value of that era. Most of people in Thoduvakade are migrants from Kaipattoor, Omalloor, Nariyapuram, Kakkad,Pathanamthitta, konni, Alapuxha, Cherthala, vennikulam, Pazhakulam, Thumpo and such adjoining and distannt localities. They were plantation workers, daily wagers, small merchants, farmers, brokers, and small time sellers/growers. My Dad and his elder brother Raghavan Pillai as he was known took to political activities and small time trading. Years taught them and took them to their destiny. The same Thoduvakade is now a money flowing location. However, this thoduvakade lacks cultural regenrattion and i am afraid in the near future anyone would come forward to civilise this place. I have not seen much development other than the money factor for the last 40 years that i lived outside. Someone come forward and lets make this place the cultural centre. Me rajen would thrust you for that. good wishes to all of you 9433716939
