Established by Luftwaffe during WWII and abandoned in early 60s, it used to be a military base with a 900x900m strip. Some hangars and military buildings are still there - on the southern edge and below across the road.
"Nebeští jezdci" (Riders in the Sky) film used this location for external takes in 1968 when it was already abandoned, only ground movement was filmed there.
