  • Chanda Oil Field Shakardara Chanda Oil Field is the first discovery of Hydrocarbons in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. This oil field is situated to the south east at distance of about 70 kilometers from Kohat city. It was discovered by Oil & Gas Development Company of Pakistan. First well Chanda -1 was drilled in 1999 and second well was drilled in 2000. Commercial production from oil/gas fields started in July, 2004. After that more oil fields were found at Manzalai and Makori in District Karak. This area has been blessed with many natural resources and huge deposits of oil and gas. According to the survey of OGDCL there is lot of opportunities to discover the more oil/gas points in surrounding area.
