The Big Four Bridge is an abandoned railroad bridge that crosses the Ohio River connecting Louisville and Jeffersonville, Indiana. Completed in 1895 (rebuilt in 1929), it has its largest span at 547 feet (167 m), for 2,525 feet (770 m) in total. It gets its name from the defunct Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway, which was nicknamed the "Big Four Railroad". Since 1969, the access ways were removed, however the bridge is being developed as a bike and pedestrian walkway.

    The first year that WLRS lit this bridge it was magnificent. Multi-colored lights totally covering the superstructure and a light organ synced with the radio broadcast. Over the years it degraded. First the light organ went then the colored lights were replaced with white ones. Most of these were eventually removed leaving only an outline and finally it was disconnected entirely.
