ancient, farm land / agricultural area
The Sukakollos Tiwanacotas, are thought to be ancient Inca aqua-farming, irrigation channels, or systems. The Inca seem to have used some sort of amazingly perfectly perpendicular series of channels and canals cut into the ground alongside raised beds, which had the ability to irrigate large areas as well as mitigate the affects of the summer heat, and winter frosts. This long-lost agri-/aqua-culture amalgamation was replaced by the conquering spanish with their oxen plows, which were said to yield only a fraction of what the Incas were getting from the same lands, using the Sukakollos.
