All the buildings were abandoned and vandalized by the late 1970s. There used to be one guard who you could not out outrun if he caught you on the base. I think he ran marathons. The local recruiters lived in the housing just to the south of the base. Now the base is owned by Jones Tree Farm and they put a winery in there. The housing is long gone and replaced by some mcmansions.
