Howwood is a small commuter town in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The town is located just off the main dual carriageway between Paisley and the Ayrshire border. It is served by Howwood railway station.

High above Howwood sits Castle Walls. Its history dates back to The Iron Age.

Howwood (formerly also known as Hollow-Wood) is a small village located 11km (6.8 miles) west of Paisley just off the A737.

The village comprises of the old village, post-war private housing, and some council-built flats and houses.
