They just don’t build parks like this anymore, with stone bleachers and with that enclosed feeling.

The field, once used for baseball and occasional bonfires by students at the old Capistrano Union High School. Stone Field is a five-minute walk from Las Villas. Residents say they enjoy its proximity and take comfort in its stone walls, crumbling or not. The field is now an important tool for Las Villas residents (five-minute walk away) to keep their kids active and off the streets.

The San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association uses Stone Fiels for equestrian staging and Awards during the annual Swallows Day Parade held in late March.
