Ladera Ranch is an unincorporated planned community located in Orange County, California comprised of about 6500 completed homes with a population of over 21,000.

The community has several features that differentiate it from most others. For example, many traffic calming measures were put into use. Roundabouts, for example, are commonplace on smaller intersections. Narrow street widths, as well as chokers, are characteristics of Ladera Ranch's small residential streets. Landscaped street medians are common, even on two-lane collector streets such as O'Neill and Sienna Parkways.

  • This is where boring, cookie cutter, Honda Odyssey driving, khaki pant wearing, labrador retreiver owning families go to live in identical, stucco-clad pseudo meditteranean style houses and bore each other until they die. Many of them also take the fam to Salt Creek Beach on a nice summer weekend. If you wan't to know what joy that entails read my description by clicking on the Salt Creek Beach box.
  • I gather you don't like the place...is this where Tamra 'I'm the hottest housewife' Barney lives.
  • This entire community didn't even exist 10 years ago. Shame that they turned what used to be beautiful, rolling green/golden hills into a cruddy, massive housing development. That's sad.
