Former clubhouse of the Seattle Branch of The Mountaineers (the premier Northwest outdoor recreation club, dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and protection of natural areas). Club's programs include alpine scrambling, climbing, hiking, sailing, kayaking, backcountry skiing, and dancing.
In December 2008 the Seattle Branch moved into new quarters at Magnuson Park, northeast of the University of Washington. The present building was called Norway Center when the club bought it.
