The whole building used to be Arnotts' department store, until it closed in 1990 and was then carved up among several tenants - most notably Woolworths. Times change and Woolies is gone, it's now a haven for rubbish pound shops, with only a big branch of JD Sports and a mega branch of the Bank of Scotland keeping its reputation intact.
