Formerly the Seaway Marine & Industrial Shipyard prior to the firms 2013 bankruptcy, the Port Weller Drydock facility is a currently-idle shipyard and industrial fabrication facility administered by the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corp. Owned by a number of different entities since its construction in the 1930's as a support yard and drydock for Welland Canal equipment, the yard presently sees sporadic contract-based use by various Great Lakes Steamship Lines employing their own staff.
