The catholicon of the Sokolski Monastery Assumption was built in 1834 and on August 15 (the Day of the Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos) was consecrated by the Greek Metropolitan of Tarnovo Hilarion of Crete, and this date became the temple festival of the monastery.
