The Taratarini Hill Shrine is one of the oldest pilgrimage centers of the Mother Goddess and is one of four major ancient Shakti Peethas in India.

One of the greatest tourist spot. The hill temple is a symbol of medieval shakta (goddes) worship of Orissa (Odisha). The deities are a household name in almost each house of Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
