Samuilitsa is a prehistoric cave settlement. The village is located in two caves, 30 m apart - Samuilitsa 1 and Samuilitsa 2.
According to the register of the Bulgarian Speleological Federation, the caves Samuilitsa 1 and Samuilitsa 2 are № 2882 and 2175.

Samuilitsa 1 and Samuilitsa 2 Caves and the area around them are are natural monument with Ordinance № 1799 from 30.06.1972 by the Ministry of forestry and environmental protection.
Area: 3.5 hectares.
