"Scarborough Faire, The Renaissance Festival of North Texas" is a Renaissance fair site that operates off-season from the Houston-area Renaissance fair to not directly compete. It's also said to be more family friendly and less of the drunken/inappropriate costumes/ribald humor atmosphere that the Houston area one has. But like the one in Plantersville, there's still stages to enjoy swordplay, comedy, and music, there's artisan demonstrations, about 200 shops to peruse and buy, and smoked turkey legs.
