Ping Tom Memorial Park (Chicago, Illinois)

Ping Tom Memorial Park is a public urban park in Chicago's Chinatown that is owned and operated by the Chicago Park District. Lying on the south bank of the Chicago River, it is divided into three sections by a Santa Fe rail track and 18th Street. It features a pagoda-style pavilion, bamboo gardens, and a playground. The park has an area of 17.24 acres (6.98 ha).

The park, designed by Ernest C. Wong, was named in honour of civic leader Ping Tom, who played an important part in the park's creation. The Chicago Parks District purchased 12 acres in 1991 and purchased the remaining five acres in 2002. It was constructed from 1998 to 1999 at a cost of $5,000,000.
