SEZ MIHAN UNIT.
The MIHAN Power Project is a coal-fired power project located near Khaire Khurd village in Nagpur district, Maharashtra, with four sub-critical coal-fired generating units of 61.5 MW each located near the MIHAN SEZ Area, and 16 back-up DG sets aggregating 25.6 MW capacity, located within the MIHAN SEZ Area, aggregating to an installed capacity of 271.6 MW.
The first, second and third units of 61.5 MW each were commissioned in January, May and April 2011, respectively. The fourth unit is commissioned in July 2011. The entire power project, including the back-up DG sets and transmission line, fully commissioned by September 2011.
Capacity : 271 MW (4 x 61.5 MW + 25 MW DG Set).
Financial Closure Completed. As of March 27, 2011, AMNEPL has spent approx. Rs. 13,777.49 mn. Water Supply is Received approval from MADC for 22.6 MLD water (sufficient for power plant) from ‘Wadagaon Dam’ at a distance of 30 km.
Power will be evacuated through three evacuation points, Butibori -Wardha line: 50 MW, 1 km from plant site. Wardha -Ambazari line: 200 MW, 7 km from plant site. Transmission line connecting to MIHAN SEZ.
