Chapel of the Transfiguration is located in the Mladost District of Varna City. At the request of the Holy Metropolis and on the initiative of the City Hall, a plot of land between Slivnitsa Blvd. and Republika Blvd. was allocated in the same area for the construction of a small church. On August 16, 1999 the church was consecrated by the Metropolitan of Varna and Veliki Preslav Dr. Kiril.
In 2004 a partial renovation was made - interior painting of the temple, the altar and restoration of some of the frescoes. In 2009 new candlesticks were installed.
The temple is small in size, but is still visited on Sundays and on major holidays by Christians, living in the area.
