The former Hamm's Brewery (San Francisco)
This was the site of the Hamm's brewery. Up until the early 1970s if you traveled 101 from the Bay Bridge into the San Francisco you would pass the brewery It closed in the early 1970's.
In the 1980s it became the center for the punk rock scene. Called "the Vats", it became a meeting ground for artists and musicians. Today it houses a limousine service and sporting goods store.
The original brewery section is still home to several artist and their studios.
