Once a station on the Southern Pacific Railroad (BNSF now runs on these tracks), Siam was part of the exotically named stations through the Mojave to the Arizona state line. Harold O. Weight wrote in the August 1956 edition of Desert Magazine of concrete foundations and a loading dock still remaining; scattered remnants may still remain.
