Site of the former San Francisco Municipal Railway L Taraval streetcar line outer terminal. Used from 1923 to 1937, when current terminal was built three blocks south to serve the San Francisco Zoo and Fleishacker Pool. Due to various rebuilds of other lines' trackage, this is now oldest streetcar track in San Francisco, with original granite header blocks, untouched since first put down.
