Chrysler-Dodge / Tucker Chicago Assembly Plant / Tootsie Roll Industries (Chicago, Illinois)

USA / Illinois / Hometown / Chicago, Illinois / South Cicero Avenue (Illinois Route 50), 7401
 factory, headquarters, confectionery plant

A decadent chocolate smell emanates from the only factory in the world that makes Tootsie Roll products. Factory tours are available, but be weary of the intoxicating atmosphere and do not enter from Cicero. This plant occupies about half of the old Chrysler-Dodge Chicago Assembly Plant closed in 1946. From 1946 to 1948 it was the manufacturing facility for the Tucker Corporation, as depicted in the 1988 film "Tucker: The Man and His Dream".
