This complex stores the personnel records of the United States military. The two storage buildings have a combined capacity of 1.4 million square feet. The entire site is a 42 acre campus.
The center is part of the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) run by the National Archives and Records Administration.
The site will close when a new facility is completed in Spanish Lake, also, in St. Louis County.
