ZF Sachs Slovakia emerged in December 1993 as a joint venture company established by Fichtel & Sachs AG, Germany and TAZ a. s., Trnava. In 1996 Sachs Trnava became a subsidiary company under full ownership of Sachs AG.

Its parent company Sachs is an international corporation with production facilities not only in Germany but also in Spain, Slovakia, Brazil, Mexico and RSA.

The product range of ZF Sachs Slovakia is based on clutches for passenger cars and trucks. The manufacture of torque converters for trucks, busses and building machinery started in June 1997 and since 2000 the company began providing complete overhauls for passenger car clutches. In the year 2000 the company was transformed to a joint-stock company.
