Comments

  • shipping hazard from ww2. masts and part superstructure above water. hull in two parts...one holds unexploded bombs..deemed reasonably safe if undisturbed...continuously monitored by authorities..pessimists foresee a tidal wave on detonation..
  • aparently if detonated , it would anihalate southend and the isle of sheppy ( which is not necessarialy a bad thing...)
  • 2nd picture isn't a picture of the SS Montgomery. It is a caisson from WWII little over a mile off the coast from Thorpe Bay. http://www.worldwar2heritage.com/en/page/9069/198/Mulberry-Harbour-Phoenix-Caisson-Thorpe-Bay-Southend-on-Sea
