Korean teachers' college in East Pyongyang named after Kim il Sung's father. The university is spread over a 104,000 square meter (about 25 acres) campus. There are twelve faculties (academic departments) which include philosophy, history, foreign language, literature and the hard sciences. The university also offers post graduate study and interestingly enough, adult education (that is courses offered to people who are not typical university age or may already have a degree. It has hosted international students since 1975.
