Comments

  • Many of the US militia (BG Peter B. Porter's 3rd Brigade) refused to fight, saying the Army authority over them existed only within the boundaries of the US. The bums leaned on their rifles while the regular units were thrown back by British/Canadian forces after one of the bloodiest battles fought on Canadian soil. Annoy your north-fo-the-border friends by pointing out that a company of Canadian volunteers fought with the Americans under LTC Joseph Willcocks
