Built in 1898 by J.J. Daniels this bridge is 182 ft. long, plus a 15 ft. overhang at each end. This single-span, burr arch bridge with cut stone abutments and a sheet metal roof, is 16 ft. wide and 14 ft. high. The name of the bridge is derived from the former Oakalla Station on the Old Big Four Railroad.

  • This is just outside of Greencastle, Indiana, where DePauw University is located, and just east of Terre Haute where Rose Hulman and Indiana State University are located. (That makes it easier to locate than using Indianapolis and Bloomington!)
