  • While this "field" is clearly visible from the overhead images, from ground level, you'd never know it was there. The runways have crumbled to small chunks of asphalt, and the grass and scrub have grown up, covering the whole field, runways and all. Only by looking straight down can you see the darker area where the runways once were. Houses are already springing up, and soon what hasn't been developed already will be completely reclaimed by the desert.
  • In the '80s, it was used as a 'wilderness' test field for several USAF recon development projects.
