  • It's out in the middle of nowhere and very dull, in the summertime you get heavy thunder storms (Huachuca; Apache for Thunder Mountain), not as hot as the northern areas of AZ but still pretty warm. The leadership on the post is rather confused and contradictory, but the post has its own beauty (as long as you ignore the leadership). Check out Garden Canyon if you go, and while Tombstone AZ is nearby and fascinating, Bisbee is much more interesting.
  • I was stationed at Ft Huachuca from Jul 1980-Oct 1981 and had a blast. My roommate was from Tucson and knew the area very well. So, we had a good time there. One of my best duty stations. Although the cadre from the MI school called the place Ft We Got You, as they could not leave:P
  • It's still called FT Wegotyou, I've been there for five years and have never gone anywhere else. Also there is more than the MI school, I'm in the signal corps.
