Pioneer Prairie Wind Farm comprises a roughly rectangular area (stretching 13 miles east-west and 4 miles north-south) which is located north of the village of McIntire, in northeast Iowa. Commissioned in 2008 and 2009, it consists of 182 Vestas V82/1650 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 300.3 MW.
