House №13 is connected with M.J. Lermontov's name. The house which was on this place belonged to parents of N.S. Martynov, the friend and the future murderer M.J. Lermontov. Before the quarrel, Lermontov often visted this house.

In the middle of the 19th century here lived Decembrist Z. G. Tchernyshev, the well-known engineer who designed the Moscow waterpipe, A.A. Delwig, the known violinist and teacher A. V. Grzhimali, opera singer E.A. Lavrovskaya

The five-floor houses are constructed in uniform architectural style «Russian Classicism». Both structures were not well maintained and in 2003 were renovated so that they are now elite apartments ranging in size from 42 to 271 square meters.
