place with historical importance, interesting place

Lake Emma, a lake no longer, sat next to the Sunnyside mine until in the later half of the 20th century, the mine got a little too close to the bottom of the lake. The bottom of the lake burst into the mine, flooding all the lower levels and destroying much of the equipment. Luckily, this event happened on a Sunday, so the only person near the mine was a watchman. The lake is now empty and has been reclaimed.
