Former Avondale Shipyard, major shipbuilder for the US Navy and Coast Guard, NOAA and civilian customers. Operated by Huntington Ingalls, the shipyard was closed 2014 when HI consolidated its shipbuilding at its Pascagoula, MS facility. Purchased by T. Parker Host in 2018, converted to the Avondale Global Gateway, a multi-modal logistics hub.
