Former site of Lower Noonday Camp, also known as Married Man's Camp.
Noonday Camp was established by the Finley Company, Shoshone Division in 1945 to house miners working in the Columbia, Noonday and War Eagle lead mines. The Anaconda Copper Company later took over.
Noonday Camp was used by ACC employees from 1949 until 1957, when the U.S. lead stockpile strategic goal was met. It was then used by Western Talc employees until 1972.
Foundations for the bunkhouses, showers, offices, and homes remain along with a lot of discarded junk.
