One of the oldest market areas of Karachi. The building that has been demolished was built in 1883. It was 150 yards long.
"According to a report in the Daily Dawn, Karachi dated March 19, 2010, the original Boulton Market was demolished in 1970s and at its place the construction of the Plastic Market began in 1978 and the first shop was opened in 1982. In September 1998, it was set on fire. The market was again reduced to rubbles in Ashura blast violence on December 28, 2009.
