Sandia Crest Lookout Area

The Sandia Crest Lookout is located 14 miles up the east side of the Sandia Mountains from Highway 14, which runs roughly north/south through Cedar Crest, New Mexico. There is a small restaurant and well-stocked gift shop at the summit. There is often a U.S. Parks Dept. representative on hand to tell you about the area. It is said that you can see some 11,000 square miles from this location which is about 10,600 feet above sea level. The view is worth the trip.
