Breakwater, including adjoining slipway and retaining walls. Datestone 1908 on
breakwater. Built with money raised by public subscriptions raised by the "untiring
efforts" of Colonel H.W. Williams of St Ives, J.P._. Unhewn rockfaced granite
reinforced with concrete lacing on top the width of the- wall. Breakwater is of
granite rubble with granite dressings. Retaining walls are of roughly-hewn
vertically-set granite blocks.
