Space Launch Complex 3 (SLC-3) (Active)

USA / California / Vandenberg Air Force Base /
rocket launch pad, ICBM launch facility

SLC-3 has rwo pads, east and west:

The East pad is for use by the Atlas 5 rocket, The first Atlas V launch was scheduled for February 26, 2008 -- carrying a classified NRO payload (likely a SIGINT bird with a SBIRS piggyback).

The West pad was converted for use by the Falcon 1 which was test fired here but never launched due to concerns about overflying a Delta rocket which was stuck on its pad for years. Falcon 1 launches were moved to ‎Omelek Island.
