On March 29, 2007, Sheveluch Volcano erupted spectacularly, forming a ten kilometre high "umbrella cloud". Shiveluch is one of the most active volcanoes on the Kamchatka peninsula. It is located in northern Kamchatka. The eruptions are usually explosive.
