Kura Test Range (also known as Klyuchi Test Range) is an intercontinental ballistic missile impact area used by Russia, located in northern Kamchatka Krai. It is 130 kilometers (81 mi) northeast of the settlement of Klyuchi. This area is not only in an isolated part of Kamchatka but is surrounded by the Okhotsk Sea and Pacific Ocean.

  • No, that is not true. You are talking about Klyuchi and the military town there. That is where they are based out of, but not where the reentry vehicles impact, as this marker is for. Unless you really believe that they choose to fire their test warheads directly at a town where people live and just hope it misses.
