This public garden was created when the row of houses was cut through by a roadway to Yakimanka Street laid in 1969, forming an intersection with Bolshaya Polyanka.

In the park is a monument to Georgi Dimitrov (1882-1949), a prominent figure of the Bulgarian and international Communist movement. The monument created by K. and N. Merabishvili was put up in 1972.
