This particular statue, made in the Mytishchi Monument Factory located about 18 kilometers outside Moscow, was Moscow's last one of Lenin when it was installed in 1985. It is also one of the tallest Lenin statues.
Most of his compatriots and some of his alter egos have been relocated to the nearby Park of Fallen Heroes.
