Besides brave men, english poets, this village(mine) has produced eminent administrators(Late Mr R.Sadasivan Pillai, Director of Imports & Imports, Govt of India(retd.1981); Late Mr P.Sivasubbu Thevar, Director of Civic Administration, Govt of Tamil Nadu(upto about 1972); And in sports Mr R.Sivagnanam Pillai(now 76 yrs) excelled in inter university athletic events in 1950's with a record of about 24 feet jump in Long Jump which was something great in olden days for one coming from rural bringing up.
