Alwarkurichi is a village, famous for having Sri Paramakalyani school, Sri Paramakalyani College & Sriparamakalyani hospital. For the surrounding villages, it is a mini-Oxford providing quality education. Now, one of the centers (Environmental) of Manonmaniyam Sundaranar university is also situated in this village.It is located in between Gadana river and Ramanadhi.

    It is a lovely place, my father was born in Alwarkuruchi .We had a house ( Kallu veedu) near the Vishnu Temple. My Grand father has donated a siver pot ( Big/haevy one ) is still there they use it for all festivels.
