The Chelsea Yacht Club was organized in 1886. It is a private yacht club for boaters in the Boston area. There are about sixty boats that have slips in the club. The Chelsea Naval Hospital used to be next to the club until it was closed and now the land is used by private and public housing and as a beautiful park.
