  • Danau kota is actually a lombong long before is was build that is why it called “Danau”. ~ used to be my fishing port when I was kids (1980s). Back then people known the place as Taman Ibukota (Tmn Ibukota Kiri & Tmn Ibukota Kanan). Last time, the only road to Tmn Ibukota is from Jln Gombak (at mile/batu 5 ½) up till Surau Tmn Ibukota (the surau was my sokolah agama back then). If you are from Jln Gombak side and want to go to Wangsamaju area, you will have to turn at Balai Polis Setapak ~ that is a long way. Came the time when Danau Kota was build there is only houses and they extend the road from Tmn Ibukota straight across to meet up with Jln Genting Klang. Since then people start making the road as a short cut to go to another side. People been talking about the road and making Danau Kota as the land mark. Starting from then, Danau Kota is getting famous and developed.
  • Thank you so much for the history.
  • As a student I really appreciated because I need it for my homework
