Originally built for Henry and Katherine Haldeman by architect Wallace Neff c. 1939. Haldeman's company, Savage-Haldeman, reportedly became the worlds largest Pontiac dealer.

Structure has been modified from the original design, which was a pink Modernized Mediterranean with hints of Caribbean/Bermuda. Reported to be one of Neff's favorite commissions.

Judy Garland rented house from 1949-1951. Movies she made during this period were In the Good Old Summer Time and Summer Stock. She was set to star with Fred Astaire in Royal Wedding but attempted suicide on June 19, 1950, passing the role onto Grace Kelly. Driveway off Sunset Blvd seen in the beginning of movie Sunset Boulevard as William Holden tries to avoid the repo man.

Stanley Black the founder of Black Equities, a real estate investment firm, with 20 million sq ft under management.
